Extension detecting technology(EDT) is a new detecting technology based on extension theory, which is totally different from the existing traditional ones in both thoughtway and technology method. Supported by new concept and theory, EDT has advantaged superiority in solving undetectable problems.EDT is researched mainly by a group directed by Professor Yu Yongquan. Basing on the studies of several former scholars, this paper probes into key detectable matter-elements(KDM) in EDT, and presents method to judge and distill them.EDT has just now started its development and it still faces a lot of problems. One of the main problems is how to distill KDM from many detectable matter-elements. This study aims at the principle and method to distill KDM in EDT.This paper discusses the basic concept of EDT, mining detecting information using extension method, concept of detectable matter-element and KDM, method to judge and distill KDM, how to apply and validate KDM and so on.KDM is detectable matter-elements which have great importance to detect the goal matter-element in EDT. KDM should be easy to be detected, presented and replaced. To distill KDM can follow the pross hereinafter: Take turns to distill matter-elements and detectable matter-elements, judge KDM and then list the characteristic and value about the goal matter-element of KDM.This paper is supported by National Natural Science Foundation ofChina (60272089) and Guandong Provincial Natural Science Foundation of China (980406).
