Research And Implement On Remote Connection And Management Of Enterprise Virtual Desktop

With virtualization technology has become more sophisticated and widely used, virtualization has become a hot spot of today’s IT field. In a number of virtualization technology, the desktop virtualization has broad prospects as an emerging technology, has more and more attention by IT managers. Compared with the traditional desktop environment, the virtual desktop has many advantages, centralized management and deployment, reduce costs, and management of the advantages of convenient, highly available and mobile office. But the virtual desktop has also revealed that the problem of poor user experience. Foreign authoritative survey shows that user experience is the most critical indicator of the success of the virtual desktop. Combined with research and practice, the user experience is mainly reflected in two aspects:(1) virtual desktop performance issues;(2) lack of an effective management tool. So how to solve these two problems is the virtual desktop to promote the key.Now the research on performance analysis of virtual desktop is few. Because the performance of the virtual desktop is not like the server virtualization, is not only about CPU or memory. Its performance is mainly reflected in the fluency of the user interface. In this paper, the author used Microsoft’s Virtual Desktop Infrastructure as a reference, from the virtual desktop constituent components, access principles, found that the main reasons of poor performance is the remote access performance issues.In order to in-depth analysis of the remote access performance issues, the author set up a test environment, selected the performance monitor, and created test tools and scripts to simulate the remote access scenario. After performance analysis, the author found the general rule for consumption by the remote access performance. This rule can be used as a reference implementation of virtual desktop infrastructure projects, and effectively reduce the user experience problems caused by remote access performance.For Another problem affecting the user experience that lack of an effective management tool, the author using Microsoft Powershell scripting language to explore the feasibility of the development of virtual desktop management tools, and provide sample code. As long as the three stages of the virtual desktop lifecycle management process combined with Powershell script, you can develop a simple and easy-to-use virtual desktop management platform, to solve the virtual desktop management issues.
