Wireless Mesh network is a Multi hop wireless networks, which is connected bywireless Mesh router and terminal equipment, a high performance and low cost ofideal solution, which achieves the "Last Kilometer" broadband Internet access. Due toits higher network capacity and communication ability, it has broad applicationprospects in the construction of metropolitan area network, campus network,enterprise network. With the wireless device interface technology development,researching how to use multi-radio multi-channel and reducing the wireless linkinterference is of great significance. In this paper, how to improve the wireless Meshnetwork capacity is the research target, mainly through the mathematical model formulti-radio multi-channel.In this paper, we first introduce some related background knowledge which aboutthe multi-radio multi-channel wireless Mesh networks. In view of the characteristicsof network, base on the analysis and summary of the existed algorithms, we putforward a kind of centralized channel assignment strategy, which consides thephysical factors in the environment of network such as: the distance of nodes,transmission power, path loss. During the channel assignment, firstly simplifynetwork topology graph, then calculate the expected transmission times of the links,lastly build mathematical optimization model for solving channel assignment. We usethe NS-2network simulation software to simulation, the assignment can effectivelyimprove the network throughput of20%~30%.We build a multi-channel wireless mesh network platform in this paper. Firstly,study the routing protocol of wireless mesh network and describe the OLSR routingprotocol apply in wireless Mesh network and the implementation steps. Secondly, letthe development the wireless Mesh router supports OLSR routing protocol, and builda wireless Mesh experimental platform to test the wireless FTP transmissionexperiment. The results show that it has low delay, high transmitting efficiencysuperiority.In summary, this paper designed and implemented Expected transmission countbased static channel assignment in multi-radio multi-channel wireless Mesh networks,consider the wireless network physical factors into the mathematical modeloptimization to improve network throughput. Using OLSR routing protocol in wireless sensor in the Mesh network, it guarantees that the network’s hightransmitting rate. Finally, we build a based on OLSR routing protocol multi-channelwireless mesh network experiment platform.
