Wireless mesh network(WMN)is a novel network structure,which differs from the currently used Wireless Location Area Network.Mesh routers with wireless forwarding function are adopted on the backbone network,which have the advantages of self-organizing,self-healing and multi-hop.Therefore,it is regarded as one of the most promising solutions of 'last mile'.As the development of multi-radio multi-channel technologies,the network spectrum utilization and network capacity can be greatly improved by equipping each node with multi-radios.However,the channel assignment strategy aiming to decrease the network interference,becomes a key problem in WMNs.Multi-radio Multi-channel channel assignment is a topic to solve the wireless interference by finding a map between wireless channels and links(or radios),and it is proved to be an NP-hard problem.In this paper,we focus on channel assignment algorithm in multi-radio multi-channel WMNs for the application background of wireless network or environment monitoring in the marine environment.The main contents are summarized as follows:(1)Introduce the structure and advantages of WMNs,and establish the channel assignment model through graph theory.Adopt an improved intelligent optimization algorithm to optimize the model.Validating our centralized channel assignment algorithm based on both MATLAB and NS3.(2)The distributed channel allocation algorithm is studied,and a distributed algorithm without a central control node or common channel interface,is proposed.This mechanism can effectively reduce network interference and improve network performance while ensuring network connectivity.(3)Realize the auto channel selection algorithm based on openwrt operating system.Design the LUCI management interface based on MVC.And develop a video client app on android system in order to test the video surveillance conveniently.To be stressed,the network node that we designed is proposed on the background of maritime communications network.But it is not limited to this scenarios and can be applied to many scenarios that without basic network infrastructure.The performance shows that the mesh node can auto select channel of less interference,and can realize multi-hop wireless video communication as well.
