| The educational information management system is the foundation and symbol of the informatization of a university, and is also the basis of enforcing the credit based management. With the higher education reformation and enrollment expansion, the student number increasingly grew, the educational resource is increasingly limited, and the difficulty of educational management significantly increased. The colleges are in need of a set of educational information management system, which is suitable for their management model.In this research, we analyzed the development and current status of domestic college educational system. Based on the educational management requirement of Henan College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, by integrating with the educational management real demand, we made a detailed demand analysis to the real problem in action. We then analyzed the advantages and disadvantages of different databases, development tools, and system models, in order to make the system selection. We designed the network structure and overall development principles of the system, also designed complete and flexible system access control, and elastic Excel offline transcript. We then implemented a set of educational management system combining the B/S and C/S model. This system consists of multiple modules, including educational administration, enrollment management, online course election, examination performance management, teaching material management, on-line teaching evaluation, educational announcement, on-line curriculum scheduling, graduate management, user management, and system management.The system is currently applied in Henan College of Traditional Chinese Medicine. The operation of the system motivated the college education institution reformation, and improved the college educational management level. Moreover, the operation of the system also released the working burden of educational management staff, and improved their working efficiency dramatically. |
