With the rapid development of China’s national economy, the accelerated process of industrialization and information technology, China’s urbanization rate increased, the rapid expansion of the size of the cities, a rapid increase in population, residents travel frequently lead to a sharp growth in demand for transport. In order to solve the increasingly congested urban traffic problems, the development of "safe, punctual, comfortable and convenient" urban rail transit is necessery. At present, Nanjing, Wuhan, Shanghai, Suzhou and other major cities are beginning to invest a lot of money for the construction of the metro project. The subway, as urban construction and large infrastructure, is not only the backbone of urban public transport passenger system, is also a measure of the modernization of urban transport important symbol.Automatic fare collection system (Automatic Fare Collection System) is one of the most important achievements of recent years subway construction. Automatic fare collection system is the integration of computer technology, information gathering and processing techniques, machinery and manufacturing technology,it has a strong intelligent features. Automatic fare collection system has been widely used in the major subway station, realizing the automation of ticketing, replacing the traditional manual way of ticketing, greatly improving the operational efficiency of the subway. Automatic fare collection system, however, can only normally and uninterruptedly work in the ideal state. In order to ensure the stability and reliability of the system, designing a AFC terminal equipment monitoring system to take real-time monitoring of the state of various types of terminal equipment, finding and repairing the fault is necessary. In addition, the monitoring system can also collect and save a variety of transaction data of terminal equipment.The design of the terminal equipment monitoring in this paper is using Nanjing Metro Line2as the background, integrating of design patterns, Socket network communication technology, database technology and web development technologies, using VC++(MFC), the PHP language to encode this system. Firstly, the system requirements analysis, then software architecture, overall design, detailed design, and software testing, finally the system is completed. The operation of the AFC terminal equipment monitoring system can ensure the stability and reliability of the automatic fare collection system.Concluded with the limitation of the system as well as the improved method, as a reference for future research and development.
