Pulse compression technique and large timeband product signals such as linear frequency modulation signals, nolinear frequency modulation signals, phase coded signals and so on are widely used in modern radar systems to improve the resolving power both in range and in speed domain. With the progress of digital signal processing technique, pulse compression processing system are developed from analogue or digital-analogue system to all digital ones. Digital pulse compression processing can be divided into pulse compression processing in time domain and pulse compression processing in frequency domain. This paper mainly studies the digital pulse compression procession technique in frequency domain which prossesses the remarkable advantanges in digital pulse compression procession. Pulse compression performances of many pulse compression signals are analyzed in frequency domain. And the methods to design kinds ok range sidelobe suppression filters are proposed. This dissertation produced the method to improve parallelism of FFT calculation in VLIW architecture and a pulse compression procession system in frequency domain based on ADSP2106x which had been emulated by using VisualDSP++, and the result is meet the theory.
