This paper focuses on the CDMA20001XEV-DO Rev. A principle and key technology, as well as the CDMA20001XEV-D0network optimization technology. Based on the different scenes, the paper put forward different optimization strategies from the perspective of technical analysis, then these strategies are applied to the actual EVDO network of the Baoding telecommunication CDMA20001XEV-DO. The network quality and performance are greatly improved.The paper contains a few aspects as follows:First, the paper introduced the concept, task, optimization system, flow, contents and methods of the wireless network optimization. As IP wireless extension, the EVDO network relations to the radio network, core network and other aspects, and the researcher can analysis and research it from all angles. Thus the EVDO network optimization is a new topic.Second,the paper researched and analysised deeply the CDMA20001XEV-DO basic principle and key technology. The CDMA20001XEV-DO Rev. A uses the key technologies including:TDMA, multiuser scheduling, link adaptation, physical layer HARQ, rate control, virtual soft switching, etc.Third, the paper introduces the CDMA20001XEV-DO network optimization technology in detail, analyzes the impotant indexs and influencing factors.Finally, the CDMA20001XEV-DO network optimization technology is applied to the Baoding Telecom EVDO network. For basis optimization and project optimization work, the actual network performance and indexes have been improved and upgraded, the goal of EVDO network optimization is achieved.Through analyzing the actual cases, the paper draws a general conclusions, and provides the theoretical support and reference for the next work of EVDO network optimization.
