Power system communication resource management software and optical monitoring system software have been applied in some electric power companies, but with the expansion of electric power communication network, as well as the increase of communication traffic load, it is necessary to implement sharing system information, save network resources and build a comprehensive technology platform. The implement of resource management and optical monitoring and management system on the same platform will be conducive to the management of operation and maintenance personnel and the share of resources. Therefore, the integration of resource management system and optical monitoring system is a hot topic of the research of electric power communication network.This paper first analyzes the research status of resource management system and optical monitoring system, studies the theory of these two systems deeply, and then understands the working principle, functions, structure, and the related technologies used in these two systems. The resource objects are classified and the relationships between objects are determined based on the theoretical analysis combined with the possibly operations of customers. In addition, this paper takes optical model for example, and describes the physical model and database structure design by using the PowerDesigner tool.According to the goals of the integration system and the several issues that have to be solved in order to realize the integration system, this paper makes an overall design for this integration system. The integration system architecture using four-layer structure, that is, data service layer, function service layer, Web service layer and client browsing layer. The system development mode uses B/S combined with Ajax mode, to achieve once development, run anywhere, and to update the contents of the user interface without refreshing the page. The functions of this integration system are designed by analyzing, summarizing and organizing the functions of resource management system and optical monitoring system. The integration system is divided into resource management subsystem, optical monitoring subsystem and self-management subsystem. These subsystems are functionally independent. In order to implement the data synchronization between functional service layer and Web service layer, as well as between functional service layers, the system uses the event channel in CORBA technology to send configurations and alarm information. Moreover, event channel model is set up between the layers of the model, and the flow of sending and receiving events are detailed designed.Finally, the integration system is debugged, and the results show that the system has basically achieved the desired function.
