Design And Implementation Of Component-based IPad Showing Framework

With the rapid development of IT, many new hardware and software techniques haveemerged. It changes the form of showing products. Product show is no longer limit to thetraditional forms: object display, picture showing, model showing, etc. The emergence of iPadprovides a new form of product showing. There are many advantages of iPad in productshowing. As more and more suppliers choose iPad to show their products, softwaredevelopers face to hard work to construct quality product showing systems quickly.In this paper, we present the framework method of component-based products showingsystem on iPad platform. We design and implement this framework with object-orientedconstruction techniques.We analysis the requirement of buildings showing system for iPad and we abstract theIPad Showing Framework (ISF) for products showing system. The framework can describeand package images, text, video and other materials into Products Showing Scheme (PSS),and distribute it. ISF provides the functions of thumbnail navigation, menu selection, imagesscroll, playing video, coverflow, roaming virtual scene, scaling image, content layers, etc.Product content suppliers can construct automatically products showing system with ISF forusers.ISF consists of three subsystems: Scheme Show (SS), Web Server (WS), and SchemeManagement (SM). SS realizes the function of PSS view on iPad. WS is responsible for datapersistence，PSS storage. It provides data transmission server to SS. SM accomplishes thefunction of PSS management, such as creating, editing, distributing, and reviewing thescheme.IPad Showing Framework has been successfully applied in ceramics showing as well asbuildings showing. It also can be used for showing other products.
