With the rapid development of social progress and science and technology, robot tech-nology is more widely used and plays an important role in many scientific fields and industri-al departments, not only in industrial fields, but also in daily life, and its shadow also can beseen, so robot research has great reality and application significance.80%of the informationthat human obtain was acquired by vision, and vision is equally important for the robots. Vi-sion system is to have some sensory ability to the external and corresponding reaction ability.Therefore, for robots, robot vision system determines their level of intelligence system, andintellectualization is the main direction for the future development of robot. So for the robots,a high efficient vision system with real-time and adaptability for the environment is the baseof the whole robot system. This article makes research on vision control system of educationand entertainment robot, and provides a suitable software and hardware design on vision sys-tem and control system of education and entertainment robot.This article first introduce the research background of education and entertainment robot,and analyses the related domestic and foreign research status, and introduces the main re-search work of this book.Then the article introduces the education and entertainment robot--HanHan, which is de-veloped by Intelligent software of South China University of Technology and the robot lab,including robot component and some function module introduction. And it discusses aboutrobot vision base, like: color space models, the principle of all kinds image segmentation al-gorithm, target identifiability and tracking, etc. And then it does a research of vision system ofeducation and entertainment, and on the hardware side, it uses Embedded image recognitionhardware platform which is taking S3C2440as the core, and also chooses CMOS camera.And it also makes research on target identification, and takes color segmentation as the prima-ry algorithm of picture segmentation, and aplies CMVision algorithm which is based onRUNS, and realize the identification of Target sphere and Color bar code, and also discussesabout sphere’s tracking. Finally summarizes the research work on this article, and noted the need to further ex-pand in the future.
