Resonating elements are key to function of most microwave circuits andsystems.They are fundamental to the operation of filters,and the quality of these circuitsis basically limited by the resonator quality factor.Traditional,microwave circuits havebeen encumbered by dimension,heavy and mechanically complex waveguide and metalcavity.Dielectric resonators,which can be made to perform the same functions aswaveguide filters and metal resonant cavities,on the contrary they are very small,lightlyweight,simple structure,low cost and high frequency stabilization,Just Under suchbackground, Developing of S wave band dielectric filter has been advanced.The purpose of this article is modeling and simulation optimization of S wave banddielectric filter by how to using microwave high frequency structure simulationsoftware.according to computer software modeling and simulation can be effectivelyguide product manufacturing, not only improve product manufacturing efficiency,butalso accelerate product developing cycle. In addition,this paper also advance how toachieve the new structure of more cavities dielectric filterIn this paper, using the classical modern microwave filter design theory, at a1/4wavelength dielectric coaxial resonators as the foundation, from the Chebyshevlow-pass filter prototype, through frequency conversion, converted to narrowbandcoupled resonator circuits, combined with the terminal resonator external Q resonatorcoupling coefficient design method, and uses the Autocad software to design thestructure of filter.S band dielectric filter adopt two five order dielectric resonators filter seriesconnection novelty structure style,and introduce high Q value dielectricresonators,according to specialized microwave software modeling、simulation andoptimiztion,developing excellent performance filters with low insertion loss、smalldimension、low ripple and high rectangle coefficient, Meet the technical indicators areas follows:1) operating frequency:2072.5MHz2) operating bandwidth:95MHz 3) insertion loss:1.9dB4) the band rejection:70dB (2200MHz~4800MHz)5) ripple in band:0.3dB (2072.5±47.5MHz)6) dimension:46×35×13mmvia comparing and finding, the fact filter performance curve and structure andsimulation performance curve and structure are basically inosculated, achieve productdemands of technical specification.
