Our country has abundant water resources with the title of ranking number one ofhydropower in the world due to the present tens of thousands of small hydropowerstations, especially the Hexi Corridor have three main river systems including Shiyangriver, Black river and Shule river from the east to the west with abundant waterresources, more than fifty rivers of different kinds of type and gross available head ofwater approach several hundred meters. It’s worth paying attention to those establishedhydropower stations which stimulating local economic development and improvingliving standards, especially in the droughty and rainless area like the great northwest.It’s a must thing to establish a favorable management information system forhydropower stations to formulate sound development and thus making hydropowerstations develop faster and better.In recent ten years, with the fast development of computer controlling and internettechnology, most hydropower stations have computer monitoring system to realize safeand high efficient production and bring more obvious benefits. But management of theequipments and staff in hydropower stations are still in a mess due to without anappropriate management information system using in actual situations. Therefore, Idesigned an economic but practical management information system which meets therequirements of small type of hydropower stations to manage equipments and staff inhydropower stations, thus making the management of small type of hydropower stationstoward standardization.The thesis analyzed and researched management of equipments on the small typeof hydropower stations, designed a set of small type management system of equipmentsand solved problems about the equipments management of small type hydropowerstations. The system designed based on networking management of B/S type and assurefunctional modules of equipments management system by analyzing the actualrequirements of customers. The functional modules of the system have management ofstaff’s and equipments’ basic information, management of skills training, managementof equipments functioning and management of work monitoring and so forth. The key technologies like database technology, security of the system in the processing ofdevelopment as a key part to analysis and research.
