This dissertation studies on the protection of electronic equipments against high-power microwave (HPM). By analyzing its wounding mechanism, the dissertation identifies action pathways of HPM weapons, and then studies on corresponding protective technologies with modeling and simulation of protective measures for different electronic equipments. It has provided various engineering protective measures specific to different protected targets, and elaborates engineering feasibility and economy thereof. The conclusions reached in this dissertation will be of great value to the theoretical study and engineering application in connection with the protection of electronic equipments against HPM.This dissertation firstly addresses the research background and significance concerning the protection of electronic equipments against HPM, and comprehensively describes the current protection status both at home and abroad, which indicates that the study herein is quite prospective and exploratory. This dissertation, which studies on countermeasures against HPM weapons, theoretically identifies protective measures against high-power microwave by analyzing its wounding and action mechanism, summarizing and assessing damages to different electronic equipments. Specifically,(1) in case of "front door coupling", the target can be protected by decreasing input power and increasing front-end power capacity;(2) in case of "back door coupling", the target can be protected in aspects of frequency domain, energy domain, spatial domain and grounding.Based on the aforesaid theory, the dissertation, by taking SP-1type microwave bomb as an example, has worked out modeling and simulation of protective technologies of electronic equipments against HPM, and calculated improved protection effects on front door, aperture and cable by applying different protective technologies. Thereby, the dissertation proposes specific engineering protective technologies respectively applicable to various types of protected targets in practice, such as military command posts, large ground fortification, warships, vehicles and aircrafts. It also analyzes the technology advance, protection effect, engineering feasibility and economy of protective technologies. In the end, this dissertation summarizes research findings hereof and looks into future trends in this field.
