The rapid development of tall buildings in China has made elevator an indispensable transportation tool in the big block. Safety and reliability of the door-motor system, which is an important part of the elevator system, is crucial to the performance of the entire elevator system. Thus the character of high precious and stable is required in door-controlling system.However, in the present market of door-motor controllers, domestic products have a low level of controllability, whereas the foreign ones are expensive. Through analysis and comparison, the paper summaries the current problem of the market and gives a design as the solution to the problem. The solution is a new design of elevator door-motor controller involving soft- and hardware aspects. The design of the system adopts recent controller and power part and contains an in-depth discussion and analysis on these elements, which is a significant study upon the entire system.The paper analyzes principles and techniques of SPWM frequency-and-speed variation for the inducted motors. Among these techniques, the Symmetric Sampling is explained in detail and demonstrated on the practical use of getting its controlling data. The frequency-variation controller of the motor uses an MCU and an intelligent power module (IPM) as its core parts. MSP430F149, 16-bit MCU made by TI, containing varies of functional modules is adopted and helps to simplify the design. The power module is powered by PS21265AP DIP-IPM of MITSUBISHI, since its built-in driving and protecting function may ensure the reliability of the system.The hardware design of the system is divided according to the function and the type of power. The peripheral equipments, including user interface, power supply, protection circuits and so on, are set up on base of MCU and power module. The design of hardware with its most parts of the circuit built under the consideration of compatibility, can be used as a universal hardware of a variation controller. The functions of test, measurement and output control are in the charge of the software run in the system. The software, coded in C language, is easy to debug, maintain and transplant.The last part of the paper introduces debugs of the system. Plots of the working current of the motor, functional tests, corresponding conclusion and brief analysis of the test are also given in this part. The system can fit the application of elevator dor-motor system, obtains good performance of high precious, strong reliability, which can be broadly applied.
