Due to the advance of science and technology, EDA (Electronic Design Automatic)technology brings new changes in the electronic design industry, and greatly simplifies thecircuit design process. However, the complex technical means need more seniorprofessionals, which resulted in the increase in the cost of electronic products. In order toreduce the cost of electronic product design, the research and application of activeknowledge aided basis prototype and integrated system is proposed in this dissertation.The system of active aided knowledge can estimate the structure of electronic engineers’knowledge, release the experience and knowledge required by the design and simulationtask, and reduce engineers’ pre-learning burden and product design costs. Replacing thecontents of the knowledge base, the system will be able to assist different EDA softwaretools, design and simulate all kinds of electronic products. The basis prototype isintegrated in EDA tools software, it can enable electronic engineers to fleetly receiveknowledge assistance, shorten the pre-learning process and improve the design quality.Based on pull and push technology, the active knowledge aided basis prototypecombines the first pull and push technology to estimate electronic engineers’ knowledgestructure, actively release the necessary knowledge and experience. The knowledge base isthe foundation of the basis prototype, including a lot of tacit knowledge and explicitknowledge concerning electronic design. According to the knowledge characteristics ofelectronic design, the designer divides the knowledge level of the electronic design,establishes E-R knowledge model, and completes the design of logic structure andphysical structure of the knowledge base, which can lay a foundation for active assistanceto basic prototype of different software tools and electronic products design in electronicdesign automation industry. The basis prototype is integrated into the EDA tools softwarethrough surface integration, which can provide a direct and convenient access to thesystem for electronic engineers. The surface integration enables the basis prototype to beintegrated into different EDA tool softwares, it is of low-cost and labor-saving.The basis prototype takes the design and simulation of the MP3player on theCadence SPB15.7software for example, which verifies the practicality of the system. Thebasis prototype provides knowledge assistance for electronic engineers in tacit knowledge,typical instance, program optimization and so on, in order that engineers can effectivelyutilize the experts’ experience, shorten the cycle of product development, and improve product design and simulation quality. The active knowledge aided basis prototype can beused as the companion software of Cadence SPB15.7software, and can be widely used inthe electronic design automation field through continuous improvement, therefore, thisresearch is practical and applicable.
