Application & Research Of A Testing Method And Its Tool For Automatic Fare Collection Softwares

Automatic fare collection (referred as AFC below) system of rail transit is a key composing part for city rail transit. AFC system supports a series of processing functions for station staff to watch passenger flow of entry into or exit from a station, to monitor the operation status for AFC system and its related terminal equipments, to balance the operation income and etc., besides supports passenger actions for purchasing ticket, entry into a station or exit from a station. Due to the security operation of rail transit depending on a reliable operation of AFC system in most extents, a relevant testing method and its application on AFC system testing has been proposed, designed and practiced by author in this thesis by combining with the requirements of an actual project for the status that research on testing method of AFC system is rarely reported inside and outside of China.The primary innovation work made by author of this paper is as the followings:1) A testing method is proposed in which first integrating of the core system, layer integrating, integrating based on functions and etc. are combined with each other, by analyzing some existing strategy schemes for integration testing and making a strategy which is suitable for integration testing of AFC system,2) Using of simulation testing tools to achieve the purpose of starting integration testing as early as possible has been proposed, therefore, in order to improve the efficiency of overall integration testing on AFC system the testing problems during the software design initial stage should be considered as soon as possible.3) EQPClient of an equipment simulation test tool CORBA-based is designed and implemented that can be used to enhance accuracy and efficiency for testing, to increase trust in software, so that various types of AFC terminal equipments can be deployed quickly in practical application for AFC system.4) The superiority that EQPClient tool is applied in testing of the AFC system has been distinctly displayed by illustration of the example that EQPClient tool is applied in integration testing for monitoring management module.Combined the practical AFC project, implementation of an integration testing strategy and a simulation test tool for AFC system proposesd by author in thesis obtained more good effects in an aspect to enhance efficiency in integration testing of AFC system.
