At present,the design of high-speed cigarette maker in our country is commonlyused by Radioactive source electrical control model,which is measured by nuclearscanner.This model has many disadvantages,such as the potential hazards toenvironment, the poor long-term measurement accuracy,the superior difficulty and costof maintenance and so on.Whereas,the Microwave source electrical control modelsolves the problems.Starting from this issue,the paper maked a qualitative andquantitative comparison of the both of the models in the respects of Functionalstructure, operational principle, control algorithm and so forth, and proposed a solutionscheme of cigarette weight acquisition and control,which is applicable to microwavescanner.Based on the analysis and research of PASSIM8000cigarette electrical controlsystem, a new weight of tobacco acquisition and control system was designed.Thesystem have a FPGA control core to control data transfer timing,a Industiral PersonalComputer used as a upper computer,the PCI driver programmer was written under theLinux operation system and designed the control GUI to monitor the system underthe Qt/Embedded.The M-Module agreement, the communication program,the PCI-104agreement was written by Verilog HDL,the traffic rate and stability was also improved.The test results show that this system is with high working stability and isreliability to environment.Its various perfomances meet the design requirements.
