Research And Implementation Of G.729Voice Technology In ATM Private Communication Network

With the development of low bit rate voice codec DSP, its application becomes more and more popular. In this article, G.729voice technique is implemented for voice, fax, data-in-band, based on ATM special communication network.Firstly, the architecture of ATM special network is introduced, including the background of ATM, the reference modeling of protocol and ATM switch. Basic concept of ATM and AAL2,3kinds of voice codec technique and negotiation mechanism used in special network are also introduced. Service efficiency and delay are analyzed.Secondly, on the basic of the discussing voice codec technique,the principle, characteristic and software implementation of AC48624chip are introduced. The implementation method is proposed, software self-loop test, adaptation test, optimization and capability test are carried out. G.729voice codec in special network are thus implemented. Demo system achieves technique target of the ATM special network.
