Digital mobile communication network appeared in our country since December1994. After the development of nearly twenty years, the user scale has nearly reached one billion. With the expansion of the scale of the mobile communication network and the growth of user number, the quality requirements of mobile communication services for users are enhancing day by day.The quality of voice service is not only a major part of the quality of the mobile communication network service, but also an important factor that affects the user perception. Nowadays, users put more weight on "hearing clearly" than "connecting successfully".The measurement of voice quality mainly uses MOS (Mean Opinion Score) value. The MOS values range from0to5, where5points means clear voice, without delay and smooth communication;1point means poor voice quality and completely unable to identify; and points greater than3.6mean acceptable voice quality to the general users.Current access to MOS value for voice quality can’t directly and objectively reflect the user’s perception. To completely change the situation, one need to measure the voice quality of the network in a fast and effective way, and quantify the collected data for specific indicators, which can then be used to determine and analyze the problems of voice quality and guide the optimization and promotion in the future. This is currently the emphasis and difficulty of the mobile communication network optimization.In this paper, we start from the problems to be addressed with the evolution of core network and the existing network voice services. Then we analyze the features of the existing core network and current methods for voice quality evaluation. Through the above analysis, we put forward the method which can objectively reflect the user’s perception of voice quality and realize it through actual implementation. Specifically, we put forward the system hardware architecture which can be easily deployed in the existing network; give the core algorithm of the main function and realize the related software. Finally, we give the analysis and improvement after the system implementation in the existing network.
