From State Council issuing the3G communications licenses in2009,to3G users reaching300million in2012,the number of China’s3G mobilecommunication users are in a rapid rise. At the same time in recent years,the process of urbanization also develop rapidly,with large buildingsand high-rise buildings being a sign of urbanization getting more,theinfluence of mobile communications is also growing graver. Besides,thewireless environment is more complex in the band of3G network. Therefore,3G network need a better environment of indoor signal coverage so asto improve the quality of the network and enhance the marketcompetitiveness. Further more,to compete for customers,and to promotethe users from2G to3G.The paper firstly introduces principles of indoor distribution systems,focusing on a comparative analysis of sources,distribution patterns andcombinations thereof program,especially on the application of Repeater,MicroCell and BBU+RRU program in3G network,to determine the coverageplan applying to different types of building and structural environment.By analyzing the propagation characteristics of the wireless signal indistribution system,result in a signal propagation model applying tothe indoor coverage system, as well as simplify the system linkcalculation method. Besides,it gives a brief analysis of the signal leaksin distribution system and multi-system sharing.The paper also gives a specific WCDMA network indoor coverage designaccording to actual project cases as well as analysis and calculation.Additionally,it sets a regulation to construction technology of thecoverage system,and gives a coverage system topological graph andinstallation plans using CAD software. The assigning value regulation and design criteria in the case have general applicability and a guiding rolefor the large-scale construction of the indoor distribution design.
