Nowadays, in the process of oil extraction, there is a lot of useful data information that people need to know, especially in the security information of oilfield. This requires collection and transmission on data information. But oilfield is usually found in swamp or desert region, with poor telecommunication, dispersed oilwell distribution and few staff. Through laying cables to achieve data transfer is difficult and costly. Therefore, the construction of wireless data acquisition system is necessary.According to the instances above, an oilfield wireless data acquisition system based on ZigBee technique is designed. The system gathering temperature and humidity data, residual energy, image data and alarm message of data acquisition node to the coordinator node through ZigBee wireless network, then the coordinator send the data to the control center through the USB interface。This implemented remote transmission and monitoring of oilfield data information. System also has a fire, burglar alarm function.The system consists of data acquisition node, coordinator node and control center on computer. The acquisition node using the smart temperature and humidity sensor chip SHT11to gathering temperature and humidity data of oilwell, using voltage detection circuit to capture the remaining energy of node, using serial camera to capture pictures and compressed into JPEG format information in order to facilitate transmission, using three beams infrared alarm to generate intrusion alarm signal, using low-power wireless RF transceiver CC2420and omnidirectional antenna to achieve node’s data transmission through ZigBee network, using LCD to display status information of nodes.The coordinator node is formed by processor module, LCD module, ZigBee wireless transceiver module, USB interface module and power module. It is mainly responsible for the establishment of ZigBee network and communication with computer. Its data transmission uses error detection and error correction mechanism, in order to ensure the accuracy of data transmission. It is a bridge of communication between data acquisition node and control center. Monitoring control center is used to achieve the data analysis, storage, display and to display alarm status, it is the media for user to get the monitoring information from system.This system is tested by experiments. It works well and can fulfill the designing requirements.
