Located in desolate field, the Oil and gas field used to be managed as designatingpersons for individual posts, checking the performance of the equipment and recordingthe related data regularly. It wastes labor force, more importantly, it’s inconvenient tomonitor. To this situation, this dissertation proposes a design of data collection andtransmission layer which is based on the remote measurement and control system in oilwells. Modbus communication and embedded Ethernet technology centred, the systemrealized the real-time monitoring and controlling to the whole well field, which reducedthe well site accident rate, saved costs and improved working efficiency.With the research of the remote measurement and control system, this dissertationputs forward a design of data collection and transmission layer, which can complete avariety of operating modes. The design can realize the master-slave communication,directed measure and control. What’s more, the RTU can choose working andcommunication ways with the help of the configuration software.it can realize theremote control to oil pumping unit. The experiment shows that the system can meetneeds and make it simpler in the measurement and control of the oil field.After an analysis about the functional requirements of the data collection andtransmission layer in detail, this dissertation designed the architecture firstly. Then, itfinished the hardware circuit design of the RTU core board and communicationinterface, while the core board is with the microprocessor S3C2440A. The hardwarecircuit design consists of minimum system for S3C2440A, memory interface circuit andethernet interface circuit. The key algorithm of μC/OS_II, which is an embeddedreal-time operating system, is also studied in depth. After transplanting μC/OS_II toS3C2440A successfully, the system control software is completed, which includesModbus/RTU communication, driver for network card DM9000and Modbus/TCPcommunication.
