Characteristic Of Chaff Jamming And Field-collected Chaff-jammed Data Analysis

Chaff is important jammed equipment with passive electronic counterwork, manufacturing simply, inexpensive and using easily, fargoing jammed-scope and mature technology. Chaff jamming has been a very effective way to jam the anti-ship terminal guidance radar for a long time. As to Coherent Terminal guidance radar today, A effective method to recognize chaff jamming is to use the chaff spectral expansion effect . In this paper , we review the basic characteristic of chaff jamming . the Doppler spectrum of chaff is much wider than the target ,because being flexible object, chaff is easy to be affected by wind and gravity. To solve this problem, we discuss the methods to counter the chaff jamming based on the chaff spectral expansion effect. By analyzing and processing numerous chaff jamming data collected by Coherent Terminal guidance radar and the graduate school, in time domain and in frequency domain, We get the result of processing the chaff jamming data. It indicate that the method of anti-chaff-jamming are both simple and effective.
