Mobile-Hotspot is a technology which can provide a movable wireless network hotspot. It mainly combines mobile communications and wireless LAN technology, and can provide users more convenient Internet services. The Internet can be connected through the mobile communication network in the WAN side of the Mobile-Hotspot, and the wireless LAN can be created in the LAN side. Wireless users can get the data service by the created hotspot, and also can communicate with each other in this area.In this paper the technical design and the functional realization of the Mobile-Hotspot has been disscussed, on the basis of a kind of embedded development platform with ARM+DSP architecture. The paper can be divided into four parts, the first is a brief introduction of Mobile-Hotspot and IEEE802.11protocol. In the second part, the architecture of the development platform and the REX operating system has been analyzied detaiedly. In the third part, it mainly discusses the system’s hardware and software implementations based on the platform, and details the technical problem during the development and debugging process. The last part describes the data transmission-related test, and the results show that the system studied in this paper achieve a more satisfactory results.
