The Design And Accomplishment Of The Test Tool For Some Key Index Of Security Gateway

As the development of computer and internet technology, network has become a major platform which used for transaction and information exchanging. For dealing with the network security problem, the security gateway plays an important role. Now there are many security gateways in the market, it’s very difficult to choose a security gateway fitting a special network. And whether the security gateway possess the performance and security which manufactures declared, users hard to make choice. So it has very important significance to test it by an authoritative and efficient way in testing agency.This paper designs the security gateway common test methods under the framework of the single terminal, conduces in-depth study of the performance and functional test methods. When analyzing performance test, we proposed binary test method to reduce the test steps of throughput. As analyzing functional test, we designed stateful inspect automatically test method of TCP、UDP、ICMP and FTP protocols. Otherwise, we designed method for application filter test. It can test whether the security gateway provide packet restructuring and application layer filter.Finally, the security gateway automated testing tool was achieved in the paper, the testing tool can complete the rapid construction of varieties of protocol packet, and also does some testing on performance, state detection and keyword filtering in commercial security gateway. Experiments show that testing tool this paper designed, can test security gateway automatically and flexibly. It’s convenient to expand test function at original foundation, and it possesses some practical value.
