The development of radar signal processing has been the core of the developmentof radar technology. The units of the pulse Doppler radar signal processing includequadrature sampling, pulse compression, moving target detection (MTD), constantfalse-alarm rate (CFAR), ambiguity resolution, the precision and efficiency ofprocessing in each unit directly affect the final result of the radar signal processing. Thispaper mainly discusses how to reduce the processing period、increase processingefficiency、improve processing precision、decrease measurement error, in order tosatisfy the increasing requirement of performance in radar signal processing with thedevelopment of technology.This thesis analyses fundamental of digital quadrature sampling, discusses theimproved performance of multiphase structure with low pass filter. Combining with thetheory and method of filter designing, the effect of to signal and filter designing hasbeen researched, optimum parameter was given by simulating, which can providereference to the optimizing design of quadrature sampling. Positive and negative slopefrequency modulation has been given to compensate distance remotion and to measurevelocity for the Doppler--distance coupling on conventional pulse compression radar.Aiming at the error of distance and velocity caused by quantization on pulse Dopplerradar, a new method named interpolating method is put forward, simulated results showthat the effectiveness of the proposed method to improve the measurement accuracy.Basic theory and algorithms of ambiguity Resolution are presented, two improvedmethods have been brought forward derived from one-dimensional set algorithm andresidues’ difference method, which greatly reduce the calculating amount withsuboptimum performance, and have been implemented on DSP system. A new methodof velocity ambiguity resolution is proposed, simulation results demonstrate theefficiency.
