Pulse Doppler(PD) radar is an advanced radar system which using coherent processing, and its development has been very mature. Because of effectively finding the target in the background of extremely harsh waves and strong feature clutter, PD radar technology has been very widely used. In recent years, more and more work is focused on the combination of PD radar system and other radar system, which has been aroused the attention of scholars both at home and abroad and one of which is the PD processing in the metrewave radar. But we need to deal with ambiguity, which is consists of distance ambiguity and speed ambiguity in the signal processing.This article is developed under an actual project, which is combined the PD technology with metrewave radar. Focused on the ambiguity of PD radar technology and centred on the study and realization, this paper is carried out as the following:Firstly, explaining the MTD based on the principle of the FFT, which is based on the test after the solution of ambiguity thinkng. reflecting the strong clutter suppressing ability of PD technology formed through a multi-pulse accumulation. High performance detection can effectively reduce the false alarm rate of ambiguity.Then, studying of ambiguity technology with frequency design and digital signal frequency solution of ambiguity technology as the key point. Some concepts and solution about PD radar technology will be described. PD radar technology realizes the multi-pulse accumulation when clutter is suppressed, and the pulse repetition frequency is bound to increase, which leads to the distance ambiguity. To avoid the distance ambiguity or increase the maximum unambiguous range, the pulse repetition rate needs to be reduced, but it will result in a speed ambiguity. Currently, the best way to solve the ambiguity is a multi-frequency manipulation. Good use of multiple sets of appropriate frequency combination can solve distance ambiguity and speed ambiguity. Then, We introduce the method principle of solving the velocity ambiguity and distance ambiguity in digital signal processing. For solving the two problems, separately introduces a method which is easy to realize in engineering which has a small amount of calculation, save resources and has strong fault tolerance. Finally, acquireing the distance and speed of the target and verifying the correctness of the methods through the simulation of ambiguity resolution.Finally, putting the realization of the ambiguity technology into engineering around a specific project. Brief introduction is given firstly to understand the background of ambiguity implementation, including the PD meterwave radar signal processing process and testing process of related functions. The precision of the ambiguity technology is closely related with the test information of the target and good frequency design implementation of shade problem is part of the solution of ambiguity technology. Then giving detailed introduction to the realization of ambiguity problems, making full use of the test results and related information for solving ambiguity and giving the given method in engineering to achieve. through to the actual results, effective solution in this article can correctly solve the goal, the ambiguity method is verified the correctness and has great practicality.
