With the rapid increase of industrial automation level, computers in industryextensive application, a wide variety of control equipments and procedure monitordevice in industry extensive application, people on industrial automation demandmore and more, make the traditional industrial control software already cannotsatisfy the customers’ different requirements. Monitor Control ConfigurationSoftware is one of the most important components of Distributed Control System,which is widely used in various fields of modern industrial production. Itsappearance provides a kind of tool for automation engineering and technicalpersonnel to manufacture site control process and control interface by using amodular method. Arbitrary combination of the modules can be realized according tothe requirements of the control target and control purpose from customer, which cannot only meet individuality demand of the control target, but also shorten thesoftware development time, and save development costs.The design and implementation of configuration software is a very complicatedproject, involving many theory and technology. In the first part of the paper, thesituation and future of configuration software is summarized all over the world, andthe advantages and disadvantages of some software are analyzed. Secondly, the paperanalyses and realizes the overall design of Monitor Configuration Software System,and puts forward Object-oriented technology design thought. Thirdly, the paperintroduces Monitor Configuration Software System part module by module in detail.This software mainly includes three parts: graphics configuration module,real-time database module, device drivers and communications management module.The paper focuses on the design method and the implementation scheme of graphicsconfiguration module and real-time database module by using Object-orientedtechnology. In the graphics configuration module, it analysises and designes agraphics object by using Object-Oriented, and realizes the basic operation of thegraphics objects, and designes the rich graphics library, and finally realizes theanimation connections, scripts and file management, and other functions. In real-timedatabase module, it realizes the real-time database storage strategy by usingrelational database, document management system and in-memory database, and runthe real-time database through a dynamic-link library, and meanwhile uses the SQLServer as a historical database.This software has been implemented and applied in power supervisory system,and basic function is running well, which can meet the needs of users. The paper further research emphases on the study of the OpenGL technology torealize three-dimensional effect of Monitor Configuration Software System graphicinterface and improve the system structure model in order to improve theperformance of the system.
