Data link-communication is to enhance the original bit stream for the physicallayer of communication transmission function, to make the physical layer provides thephysical connection that can go wrong transformed into a logical error-free data link.And this thesis is mainly on the basis of the communication of data link.The basic principles of USB and FPGA are discussed in this thesis, especially anemphasis discussion on aspects of some related technology about AES encryptionalgorithm and secure link communication are made. A FPGA-based secure linkcommunication protocol with USB interface is designed. The protocol is using the AESalgorithm to encrypt and decrypt the transmitted data frame. The secure linkcommunication protocol has implemented, verified and tested.The main works of the dissertation are as follows:(1) The theory of USBcommunication is analyzed, and the encryption-decryption mechanisms and algorithmsin AES are also discussed.(2) An FPGA-based link communication protocol ispresented. The agreement provides a frame format, such as the handshakesynchronization signals, and checking and retransmission ideas were introduced, whichprovide a reliable communication handshake retransmission mechanism further.(3) TheAES encryption algorithm is applied to link communications protocol, and acommunication protocol of secure link based on FPGA is given. Finally, several relativesimulations for the link communication protocol are made with some software such asISE, which result show that the link communication achieves its security.
