Internet changes everything in our life, and there is no exception in government. Many administration branches build their own E-Government systems in recent decade. The concept of E-Government completely changes the mode of office automation andmanagement, and the administration has entered into the age of E-Government.The emergence of E-Government promotes the efficiency of administration unit.Along with the increased range of administration activity, the change of administrationenvironment and the increase of public requirement, the E-Government system cannotavoid improving, updating, even renewing so as to adapting it to new procedures ofadministration. The branches of administration running the system must be faced withthe more challenges. The thesis first introduces the research background and literature. The applicationof E-Government becomes more important and urgent, along with the developmenttrend of E-Government, the change of the way of administration management, andrecently emerging problems. The thesis will induct the research content, target and itssignificance. The related technologies adopted in the detailed implementation of theE-government System are described, following the above part. These technologies inE-government System contain the architecture of J2EE, middleware structure andapplication server. The relation between these technologies and the design pattern arespecifically emphasized. The focus of the thesis is based on a tax information system platform, includingthe design and implementation of an office document processing subsystem. Thedetailed design and implementation of procedures and methods are described. Eachfunctional module is analyzed, designed and developed by adopting MVC mode. Thesystem is implemented on the J2EE platform, considering many advantages of theplatform. The final part of the thesis demonstrates and evaluates the effectiveness ofthe implementation, and summarizes.
