Ding Ling was a famous writer in Chinese modern literature, and also she was an outstanding female editor. Besides of the works of literature, journal and newspaper editing played an important role in Ding Ling’s life. This paper focuses on Ding Ling’s works as an editor. Starting with the editing works during1928-1932, we can study her earlier unique ideas of editing, based on which we can learn the relationship between editing ideas and her thoughts in literature works, even the "Left-Wing" Literary activism.This paper describes the detailed content of Ding Ling’s editing works, and then discusses about the development of kinds of journals and newspapers. Based on the above research, we focus on the unique ideas of editing and then study the variation of Ding Ling’s editing ideas on different aspects. Finally, we present the contributions of Ding Ling’s editing works to Chinese modern editing history and the Left-wing Literature.
