When combining contents of intercultural exchange and TV media platform, the effect that promoting intercultural exchange cannot be underestimated. Compared to a large number of investigations on other TV phenomenon, articles about TV cross-culture phenomenon are rare. However, cross-cultural communication is adapted to the context of cultural globalization. Television as a delivery window of mainstream culture, should bear the responsibility of intercultural exchange. Cross-cultural phenomena in the TV shows have a lot of room for development in the future.On the first part, I want to discuss the inevitability of cross-cultural phenomenon appearing on TV, exploring the trends of cultural globalization, cultural communication strategy analysis of China’s and TV’s own media properties. This is the reason of the appearance of trans-cultural phenomena in the TV programs. Then I make a summary of characteristics from BTV international dual-way and CCTV-4the tour of civilization, which have cross-culture phenomenon clearly. I found something is very important in these TV programs, like the program orientation of cross-culture communication bridges, and selection of human topics, and emcee’s role that is the host of the cultural Envoy. Based on earlier studies, I found some inspiration about cross-culture phenomenon on TV. We should discovery TV’s new value, and find communication mechanisms about cross-communication on TV. Also we should know the problems in cross-cultural phenomenon on TV, and then we should try to find the solution.Through the summary of characteristics on international dual-way and the tour of civilization. We may get lots of inspiration, not only to let TV shoulder the heavy task of cross-culture communication better, but also to promote mutual understanding of different cultural backgrounds, and make them communication better.
