The core competence of any telecommunication service company is dependent on the expansion and stability of its telecommunication network. And the choice of location of each telecommunication basement, which is always done at the beginning of survey and design, always directly contributes to whether a basement can stably run for a long period of time. The present method of choice basement tends to be concern about the size and the rental cost of place, but is blind to the pretty important environmental data of surrounding areas, which are just the key factors of those basements which can well run for ten years or even more time.The purpose my thesis is to take advantage of gradually prosperous wireless sensor network to timely gather the environmental data of those surrounding areas of prospect basement, the data which are essential for overall evaluating whether the location is suitable for the construction of basement. What is more, a set of wireless sensors networks can also be applied to gathering inter environmental data of a established basement, which can easily overcome the disadvantage of manually gathering data. Therefore, the research result of this thesis can produce direct influence on the matter with a basement of the choice before construction and the monitoring after construction, and further on the matter with the whole telecommunication networks of whether its operation will be stable, whether its management will be effective and whether its cost of maintenance will be low.To begin with, the thesis introduces the environment of hardware and software of the wireless sensor networks which is researched. The thesis also explains the reason why I choose these products, and explain their functions of each module in detail.Then, based on the already definitive hardware and software environment, the article comprehensively explains how to take advantage of one-to-one wireless modules to transmit and receive those data which are produced by computers analogizing sensors. Also, the micro control unit will do certain simple treatment to those received date. The second chapter shows the detailed code of all the above process.Following the technology of one-to-one wireless modules, the third chapter discusses the realization of one-to-multi wireless modules, which are commonly applied to real practical application. The discussion includes some core technology such as the distribution of data, the coding of network protocol and the definition of head files of the data transmitted.After giving all the technology linked to wireless sensor networks, it is time to introduce them into application. From the analyze of the disadvantages of current means to choose location to the prediction of the demand of the research, from the classification of telecommunication basement to make an effective manual guide about how to apply wireless sensor networks to different occasions. Furthermore, to better adjust to more demands of telecommunication service companies, the thesis also discusses about some extra modules and function wireless sensor networks can be added.Finally, the thesis makes a conclusion to all my work, and looks into the future about the research.Now, the wireless sensor networks of the thesis have made good performance in analogy tests. The next step is the expectation of apply them to practical use, which is helpful to greatly support the construction and operation of telecommunication networks, to actually improve the stability of the telecommunication basement and the working effective of maintenance departments.
