This master thesis examines two issues; the first is to analyze the content of Africa image in French Media1NA. In the second, it takes Orientalism theory to discuss this media representation how to articulate intersection powers. it means from the INA reporting Burundi, its media information operate the imagination power which the developed country want to control the developing Africa. we may call it the symbolical annihilation. This case study seeks to contribute to the debates on French media how to represent Africa from a reflexive, critical communication perspective. The frame and narrative mode of the news report about Africa in the West media reflect the Orientalistic notion which distinguish Africa, an Other that is fraught with poverty, chaos, disease and conflict, with Europe, a Self that is affluent, developed, orderly, healthy and harmonious.
