Based on the concept of "eco-friendly and green technology", great efforts are being made to create a world-class port logistics center that is compatible with global docks. The center is located in the north of bonded logistics area, covering200,000square meters, with a total construction area of nearly500,000square meters. There are three warehouses that are each four to five stories tall. This multifunctional modern logistics center allows all vehicles (including shipping trucks) to drive directly up to the destination floor. Due to the favorable policies of a protected distribution warehouse, this center will become the preferred site to carry out bonded storage, global purchasing, international distribution, international transit, merchandise display, testingand maintenance, as well as other services. The modern logistics and information management system is made up of the software which are capable to stimulate test systems, such as traffic organization, property management, website security, and two engineering interfaces to be set aside, and the hardware such as integrated wirin, CCTV video monitoring, LED display, storage areas of guidance systems, engine room equipment, wireless intercom systems, gate equipment and etc. The numerous construction projects designed to support the highly efficient and stable running of Yantian Port, a modern logistics center, require to develop specialized operating software (including interfaces) in order to achieve "unified management" and "full control".This paper proposed an Logistics Center Information Management System based on B/S structure after the detail analysis of YanTian Port’s internal and external resources, and elaborated its design concepts and development process. Traffic management is the top priority of the management information system, therefore, a specific software (including interfaces) need to be developed to customize the system, which can effectively combine the various sub-systems into an integrated information system. First, feasibility and system requirements were analyzed, and then the implementation programs and methods were discussed. In the summary of design, the construction task of the system was proposed, and then its structure, overall framework and each functional module were determined. The detailed section introduced the construction of development platform, the data connection and the class library, expounded the business processes and the implementation method of every functional module, and discussed the establishment and storage of system database. Finial, safety problems and solutions of the system were discussed.
