With the rapid development of logistics and the advent of the information society, traditional logistics is evolved to modern logistics. Radio frequency identification (RFID), known as an automatically untouchable technology, is being widely used in purchasing and distribution logistics, warehousing and transportation areas. However, the technology can only identify objects. Modern logistics requires more indications about the physical condition of the goods. Wireless sensor network (WSN) is a self-organized network system of many sensor nodes with wireless communication way. WSN can monitor information all around but be lack in identifying object. The strong identifying ability of RFID can just compensate this defect. Integrating WSN and RFID to logistics field can greatly enhance the flexibility and intelligence of the monitoring system.By synthesizing respective advantages of WSN and RFID, an integrated WSN and RFID architecture is designed. This architecture has three layers, including sensor layer, control layer and application layer. Especially in the sensor layer, WSN and RFID integrate together by fusing RFID readers into the wireless sensor network. To solving the data management issues of WSN and RFID integration, a rule-based E-R module of integrating WSN data and RFID data is proposed in this paper. By using SQL data flow searching language and designing rules, the data management of WSN and RFID integration can be efficiently supported.By analyzing the faults of traditional warehouse management system, a new intelligent warehouse management system based on WSN and RFID is proposed and the operating process of the main modules is described in detail, realizing the intelligent management of warehouse.
