The Interlibrary Cooperation And Document Delivery System Based On Cloud Computing

Library services have being changed rapidly, with the development of PC, IT, and internet. Interlibrary Loan and Document Delivery Service (ILL&DDS) have been raised into view, because of their lower cost and higher efficiency. Cloud computing, without any doubt, was becoming the main develop aspect in the computer science and IT industry. Compared with the traditional, cloud computing is the delivery of computing as a service of lower cost, higher performance, and unlimited storage. The core function of cloud computer is to serve an individual user by using and concentrating shared and dispatched resources. ILL&DDS built a system, like cloud computing, based on a shared source pool.The thesis is to design and develop an ILL&DDS system with cloud computing technology, according to the summary of practical experiences and concepts of advanced cloud computing in the current IT industry. In order to discuss and discover the collaboration the cloud tech and future library services. The system contains3components including a single sign-on user authentication system, a3rd part exchange service system, and a literatures processing system. The single sign-on can be used to interface campus ID authentication with3rd part applications. And ILL&DDS’s indexing, search, and transfer functions, as typical cloud computing application, have been implemented by distribution method. Finally, it placed an evaluation for this new library application services experience.
