Due to business process modeling existing the problem of no unified standard, thelack of machine-understandable semantics and so on, thus, this paper has introduced theidea of semantic web technology. Namely, we add semantic information based on businessprocess model, and build a semantic business process model of machine-understandable.Not only does it make the business analysts and IT staffs to process modeling nocommunication obstacles, but it also helps to achieve business process automation andintelligent, and reduces the user workload.Combining logistics distribution domain, we carry out the following work for theresearch of semantic business process model. Firstly, we are familiar with business rules, and build logistics distribution business process with BPMN (business process modelingnotation). Secondly, reference to ontology construction method “seven steps”, this paperhas built domain ontology successfully. It describes the knowledge of logistic distributionfield, and provides precise semantics with terms and concepts in business process model. However, the goal of introducing BPMNO (business process modeling notation ontology),is mainly to supply clearly formal semantics for the structured elements of BPMN, andcontains a series of axioms that describe BPMN elements and methods. Thirdly, forsemantic annotation methods, this article has presented the matching method based on thecombination of process context and semantic similarity. Here, we make use of depth searchalgorithm, word partition algorithm, and string matching algorithm, and largely improvethe accuracy and efficiency of semantic annotation. Finally, in order to guarantee thecorrectness of semantic annotation, and meet the structural consistency of businessprocesses, we have defined three kinds of rules based on DL (description logics): BPMNOrules of internal connection, the matching rules between BPMNO and DO (mergingaxioms), and the process specific constraints.
