| The case handling processes in the domain of administration, law enforcement,public security, etc. are very flexible, variable, cooperative and agile nowadays. Facingwith the change of the clue or the case handling progress, it is necessary to change oradjust the handling process, create tasks, and reuse the existing knowledge of casehandling conveniently, flexibly and rapidly. Workflow is a way of representing thebusiness processes partly or in whole automatically using the computer applicationtechnology. It can support the cooperation in the case handling process and track theprocess. However, there are several challenges to use current workflow technologies inthe case handling process: How to adapt dynamically according to the case handlingprogress or the emergencies? How to model the process statically and dynamicallyusing the existing knowledge of case handling? How to customize the handling processwhile using a unified process framework?Faced with these challenges, this paper analyzes the deficiencies of currentworkflow technology, puts forward a process dynamic adaptation technique andmethodology, and develops a criminal case cooperative handling system based on thetechniques. The detail work is as follows:1. Analyze the characteristics of the domain of administration, law enforcementpublic security, etc. According to these characteristics, a process dynamicadaptation framework is researched and put forward based on the processcomponent composition. The framework supports process dynamic adaptationat process schema level, and supports static modeling and dynamic adaptationby reusing process frameworks and process components.2. Define types and constraints of process component composition, study on thedescription of abstract activities and process components, and proposes acomputational method of component similarity to recommend processcomponent swiftly. 3. Design a process instance dynamic adaptation method based on trace trackingtechniques. The process instance execution track is described as a tree, andpartial migration of process instances is enabled.4. Based on the techniques mentioned above, design the facet description ofabstract activities and process components, and develop a criminal casecooperative handling system. The dynamic adaptation technique is validatedusing scenarios and experiments.Compared with related works, the techniques that put forward by this paper hasfollowing advantages: The swift and dynamic adaptation of processes which are closelycooperative can be better supported; the process model is closer to the design level, thegranularity of the process model is more suitable for dealing with dynamic changes ofcases; the reuse on both process framework level and process component level issupported, the norm of processes is ensured while keeping the ability of customization;partial process instances migration is supported based on trace regeneration technique. |
