With the vigorous development of China’s railway construction, railway traffic safetyissues are also increasingly grim. The railway-crossing accidents account for95percent of thenumber of all,and the consequences of the accidents is very serious.China railway line distribution of more than13000railway-crossing. Mostrailway-crossing working environment is very bad, monitoring equipment is very simple.Monitoring work still in artificial control stage, once the intercom failure or field signalfailure, the train near the railway-crossing will not be aware of the situation. In addition,thecrossing is difficult to monitor., and the personal quality is not high, the staff often leave postor illegal operations, these are important reasons for the accident.To solve the above problem, this paper proposes a crossing monitoring system designand implementation programs designed to let the monitoring work become moremechanization and intelligent, reduce staff workload and improve the crossing supervision, toprevent the worker leaving and illegal operation, provide protection traffic safety. In addition,information of the monitoring work can be record by this system and support the SD cardfunction, LCD display and data communication technology based on GPRS wireless remotetransmission function to facilitate the department ’s supervision work.This paper describes the embedded ARM9system and the functions of S3C2440A whichis used by the monitoring equipment, track circuit and communication technology based onGPRS wireless DDN communication system. Describes the implementation process of thevarious functions, focuses on:1.Based on the principle of track circuit, this paper achieve the function that themonitoring equipment can detect the train which have2km from the railway-crossing.2.Equipment sent the accident alarm and safety information to the train; dispatch radiodesign and transformation; radio signaling board hardware and software design; IIS busUDA1341TS chip applications.3.Design and implementation the functions about attendance monitoring, monitoringpause and duty rotation.4.The status of the door can be monitored by the equipment, including the use of varioussensors5.Function of data storage, backup, and interface display. including Nand Flashtechnology, SD card technology and LCD technology.In addition, highlighting the DDN wireless communication system design applications. With GPRS technology, to achieve wireless data transfor between monitoring equipmentand data center services. DTU wireless transmission module receives a connection request, toestablish a connection with the data service center, through the control center for monitoringequipment to read and write. DTU wireless transmission module transmit information whichis stored in the Nand Flash to the data service center automatically, by the write operation,you can format the data. Implementation process of the DDN wireless communication systemis: first, wireless transmission module DTU hardware installation, then DTU moduleconfiguration and data transmission service center design and implementation.DDN wireless communication system connect the equipment and the data service centercenter. Makes the workload of worker reduced and improve work efficiency.
