This thesis studies the content of the laser diode (LD) drive power of the zero-currentturn-off (ZCS) soft-switching technology.As the laser diode with high efficiency, long life,stable performance, compact device structure, small size, light weight, etc.Which make thelaser diode has become an important solid-state laser development.At present in the laserprinting, laser beam scanning, integrated optics, optical communications technology haswide application.The laser diode drive power directly affects the performance ofsemiconductor laser conversion efficiency, stability and life.Meanwhile, the currentwaveform of the laser diode drive power control, to meet the different materials required inthe processing of current waveforms for the optimization of laser processing quality isimportant.This thesis studies the use of laser diode drive power soft-switching technology,according to volt-ampere characteristics of the laser diode, a current source drive modeselected.As the zero-current turn-off quasi-resonant converter works essentially similar, sothe thesis type selected main circuit for the zero-current shutdown Buck quasi-resonantconverter.The thesis is analyzed buck zero-current turn-off pulse frequency modulation (ZCSPFM) buck converter works and zero-current turn-off pulse width modulation (ZCS PWM)converter works.And buck zero-current turn-off pulse frequency modulation convertercircuit to do the actual research, to achieve a range of0~20A output current of thezero-current turn-off, with output voltage adjustable pressure limiting function. As anon-inductive resistor load, for a given square wave modulation signal (frequency of100Hz, dutycycle of0.5)of the output current modulation.And rising edge of the output current waveformcan reach1ms, falling to1.5ms.Due to time constraints, this thesis only to buck zero-current turn-off pulse widthmodulation (ZCS PWM) converter do the theory analysis. For the subsequent performance ofthe LD drive power research and development has laid a theoretical foundation.
