| With the rapid development of mobile Internet, the intelligent terminal equipmentconsumer’s demand for video is growing faster and faster. Limited by the encoding andpackaging formats, It’s difficult to meet user’s various needs though the hardwareencoding means is afford to fluent video playing. So it is necessary to optimize decodingmode for specified video format, for the better video consumption experience.VC-1is a video codec technology of new generation based on WMV9(WindowsMedia Video9) developed by Microsoft. It is a new video codec technology standard,integrated the advantages of the MPEG and H.264, with the equivalent compression ratewhile50percent of complexity to H.264, have a wide range of applications in variousvideo applications fields.This paper analyses the Cortex-A8processor architecture and focuses on the NEONcoprocessor architecture and technical features. Furthermore, we also do the study of thebasic processes and key technologies of the VC-1codec, analyzing the innovation VC-1taken, and applying algorithm analysis to accelerated decoding module which is suitablefor SIMD (Single Instruction the Multiple), then provides the corresponding NEONoptimization program. And finally testing the performance of the optimized decoder iniPad one, the results show that the NEON optimization techniques can improve theperformance of VC-1decoding more than30%. |
