The Research And Implementation On Video Decoding System Based On TMS320DM6446

DSP technology is the abbreviation of Digital Signal Processing technology,it is generated and rapidly developed with the development of computer and information technology,and now it is widely used in communications,signal processing and other fields,especially in video processing field.In recent years,digital video application has made rapid development.Since the original video's data is huge and video compression algorithms are very complicated,video application has increasingly performance requirements to DSP chips.In this paper,we use TMS320DM6446 chip, introduced by TI for multimedia application, to design video decoding system.In this system,we realize video capturing,compression,decompression and display.First,the paper descirbes the research background of this issue,the domestic and overseas research status, including the status of video application, the classfication of video transmission,the development status of video coding technology,the realization of video coding,and briefly describes the DaVinci technology used in this paper.Second,the paper detailedly describes the hardware design.Firstly the system block diagram of hardware design is addressed,then make a necessary analysis and explanation for all modules of our system, and focus on the modules which was designed by myself, including video display module,network module,USB module,serial port modules,and CPLD module.Again,the paper detailedly describes the system software,including the software architecture of DaVinci technology,the V4L2 implementation for video capture driver,the programming for video decompression application,CPLD programming and so on.Then,the paper briefly describes the system debugging,including hardware debugging,software debugging,and gives the system debugging result.Finally, the work on this paper is summarized, at the same time, we point out the existing deficiencies and improvement measures.
