The road scene modeling technology is one of the key technologies of the automobiledriving simulator platform. The modeling method directly impact on the authenticity andease to use of the car driving simulator platform. With the development of the automobileindustry, both of the various modeling methods and simulation software used inautomobile driving simulation have developed rapidly. Most of the software have strongmodeling capabilities, but there are some inadequacies in the road scene model processing,while the modeling efficiency and reusability are low, the model is not easy to maintainand poor to read. This paper analyzes the scene in the car driving simulator characteristics.On the basis of existing modeling techniques, we study a more effective road scenemodeling technique.For the road scene generation, the method of the various part of the scene and theroad model described separately is used. The instance is described in object-orientedapproach. The small sub-instance classification is stored in different files, through acombination of building into a hierarchy scene repository. When we start to model, firstselect some existing examples of the formation of the scene based on the needs, thenreplace and modify the parts which does not meet the needs based on the results, finallyscene instance is achieved.Based on the above technologies, the open templates are used to describe, organizeand manage the scene model. The road scene model is decomposed into relativelyindependent subsystems to establish a repository. Through a combination of subsystems,the last instance of road scenes is achieved. In this paper the XML or text description areused to develop the steam road scene modeling software according to the characteristics ofthe different resources.
