Through years of development, the application of CCD has beeninfiltrated into allaspects of human daily life wherever in production orresearch.Especially the matrixCCD with its excellent signal to noise ratioand imaging precision is favourite in manyfields such as scientificresearch, medical and health, national defense industry. However,as thedemand for the deepening progress, the corresponding image acquisitionand transmission system based on CCD is restricted by driving circuit.Taking CCD image sloadsor TH7888A produced by E2V as example,we studied the principle and driver schedule of CCD device, andput forward a FPGA technology based method for design of the CCDdrivers. Analyse the overall system requirements.Select the specificdevices of variousfunction modules, and then design the system hardwarelogic architecture andcorresponding software.Driving schedule generator has been described with VHDL. Thedesigned generator has successfully fulfilled system simulation withQuartus9.0. Result of experiment showed that the designed generator canmeet then demand of the CCD.Second CCD video signal processingcircuit accomplished. On the basis of analyzing characteristics of CCDoutput signal and denoising technology of correlated double sampling, special video signalprocessor is used to fulfill amplification, denoisingand quantification of CCD signals. Result of experiment showed that thedesigned generator can meet then demand of the CCD. Finally, printedcircuit boards are produced.Driving pulses can meet thetimingrequirement of CCD regular work and analog video signals are putintodigital form by hardware circuit debugging. Then problems andresolvents indebugging process are summarized, and the shortages of system are analyzed, which provide credible gist of development in thefuture.
