With the wide application of the field bus technology in the industrial field, the majormanufacturers introduced transducer devices supporting different bus. In order to solve theproblem that the transducer interface of different manufacturers is incompatible, theInstitute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) put forward the1451seriesstandards,which defines uniform hardware interface specifications, the softwarearchitecture and coding specifications, and makes the transducer has features of plug andplay, on-line calibration, etc.Taking the remote environmental monitoring system as application background, thepurpose of this study is to research and analyze the relevant standards, and explore thedesign and implementation details of the smart sensor based on the IEEE1451standards.This thesis uses the IEEE1451.0, IEEE1451.1, IEEE1451.4and IEEE1451.5standard todesign an environmental monitoring demonstration system based on IEEE1451smarttransducer standards. The hardware of the whole system consists of three parts, including:the transducer interface module (TIM, Transducer Interface Module), thewireless transducer interface module (WTIM, Wireless Transducer Interface Module) andthe network adapter module (NCAP, Network Capable Application Processor). TheWTIM module and the NCAP module uses the ST company’s STM32F103series chips asthe core microcontroller, and the TIM module uses the single-bus EEPROM chipDS2431produced by the MAXIM as the nolvolatile memory. The WTIM and the NCAPcommunicate each other through the ZigBee protocol, which is one of the wirelessprotocol supported by the IEEE1451.4standard.In this study,we select the TIcompany’ZigBee solutions, which includes the CC2530chip and the Z-Stack2007protocol stack. The NCAP module uses the H7710DTU(Data Terminal Unit) equipmentof the Hong dian company and communicate with the host computer through the GPRSnetwork. in addition, the NCAP also integrates the CAN interface, the Ethernet interfaceand other standard network communication interfaces. The software system is designedbased on the RT-Thread embedded real-time operating system.According to thesuggestion of the IEEE1451standards,we abstract the transducer data and the softwarecomponents to different objects. In implementation we use the Object-oriented C languagecoding method, which makes the software have features of good portability andmaintainability. In this study,we uses the TDL (Template Description Language) defined in the IEEE1451.4standard to write template files suited for the environment monitoring system, andresearch its software implementation method in an embedded system,On this basis, wehave implemented to get the TEDS(Transducer Electronic Data Sheet) data dynamicallybased on the templates. Moreover,This thesis carries out research of the physical genericconfiguration command defined by the IEEE1451.0standard, and have designed themain software components of the NCAP and the WTIM according to the standards. Atlast, the PC monitoring software is designed using the Visual C++2010. The experimentalresults show that the system has the basic featrues and main functions of the IEEE1451based transducer system, and the entire smart transducer system has the characteristics ofplug and play and online calibration.
