Nowadays, one of the most important fieldbus'characteristic is the diversity of Bus, which causes negative effect on the development of profibus & the interoperability of equipments. Therefore, there has been a hot issue the standardization of fieldbus or network transducer interface in industry field.In order to unify transducer module and standard of transducer interface, Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers ( IEEE ) and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) do lots of work to constitute the standard of IEEE1451 network smart transducer interface in 1997, the standard contain seven independency and unification protocol . IEEE1451 protocol family develops the definition of a common object model for the components of a networked smart transducer and the software interface specifications to these components. One part is Network Capable Application Processor(NACP), which function network protocol and application software; the other is Smart Transducer Interface Module(STIM), which concludes transducer and Transducer Electronic Data Sheet(TEDS). This partition makes design &manufacture of all kinds of transducer not have to considering system net structure , based on fieldbus distributing measure control system ,broaden the scope of smart near the physical measurement and control part.This paper has deeply researched on IEEE1451.2 protocol,the main idea of this standard is to make smart transducer be an unattached unit, there would be more earlier for setting,disassembly and information alternation of transducer, which realize plug–and–play of equipment in need . Transducer Electronic Data Sheet(TEDS)is the soul portion of protocol,it gives inside logo and calibration module, and measurement and control network could test& configure transducer channel. There are eight different data sheets, two of them are mandatory, the others are not, UUID of Meta-TEDS & physical units of Channel-TEDS is the key of design.In this project, tool Vistual C is used to program the edit & management software, it's convenience to build,amend and download TEDS. Two methods ActiveX Control and API Communication Function are to realize communication. The former performs simply & clear structure ,disadvantage is not convenient enough;The latter is the other way round.Smart Transducer Interface Module mainly contain: transducer array module,signal conditioning module,multicenter Data Acquisition,TEDS and Transducer Independent Interface(TII). To build system integration, SoC AdμC812 are used here.
