Automatic assembly line is a continuous production line which associatesmaterial transfer units with assembly equipment. It has high efficiency and reducesthe labor intensity of the operator. The shock absorber of the roller is an importantmechanical component of the washing machine. There is a great demand for it in themarket. It is assembled and pressed using manual system which results in lowefficiency, high forging risk and bad quality. This greatly reduces competitiveness ofthe enterprise.In this paper, the shock-absorbing device production line is the main study object.It is designed based on PLC. First of all, it analyzes the present situation anddevelopment trend of the automatic assembly line, and then puts forward the necessityof using shock absorber in automated assembly system. Finally, it offers the wholedesign scheme of the system. The position control system scheme is worked out. Thecontrol scheme is double closed loop and feed-forward control method by using servodriver to constitute speed loop control and using position controller to constitute aposition loop control form. The transfer function of the position control system isestablished. Using the engineering design method, the system is corrected into typeor type system. The performances of conventional PID control algorithm, thefeed-forward and feedback control algorithm are compared. Through MATLAB/SIMULINK simulation, the improvement of the system using position feedback andfeed forward control algorithm is validated.Finally the system of automatic assembly line is completed by PLC technology,and the debugging is accomplished.The man-machine interactive function is designed, with a model selection,real-time monitoring and fault alarm, tips and other functions. It can effectivelyimprove the efficiency and quality of the equipment, and meet the requirements ofequipment operation and maintenance, and achieve good application effect.
