As people’s living standards improving, people put forward higher requirements onthe packaging of goods. Some goods, such as food, medicines, etc, not only requireprecise sub-packaging, but also need vacuum packaging. However, in the traditionalmode of sub-packaging and packaging, the work is very heavy, the packaging speedis low, the packaging quality is not good, and the packaging efficiency is also low.For the realization of the integrated automatic sub-packaging and packaging, and inorder to meet the high-speed, high precision, high reliability and other requirements, anew control system is urgently needed. Therefore, research and development ofcontrol system on integrated sub-packaging and packaging machine is of greatsignificance.Firstly, the overall structure and working principle of the integrated sub-packagingand packaging machine are introduced in this paper. According to the packagingrequirements of the non-cohesive small granular materials, the general scheme aboutthe automatic control system of the integrated sub-packaging and packaging machinebased on ARM is proposed. Then, the hardware and software of the system aredesigned after the overall program’s further refine of the control system.In the hardware, the main circuits include the main processor module, memorymodule, temperature measurement and control module, the input signal detectionmodule, material sub-packaging module, the output driver module, human machineinterface module, system monitoring and reset module, power module, JTAG debugmodule and other parts. When the sub-packaging and packaging machine is running,many solenoid valves are used to control the various executive agencies. Weightsensors, photoelectric sensors, magnetic switches, position sensors and infraredsensors and other sensors are used to detect the weight of the materials and locationinformation. Then, a complete closed-loop system is formed.In the software, the embedded operating system μC/OS-II and the graphical userinterface system μC/GUI are transplanted into LPC2478. The software of control system mainly includes the master program module, LCD module, touch screenmodule, the control program of sub-packaging modules, the control program oftemperature module, the common input and output module, input data processingmodule and other parts.A real-time control system which is based on embedded processor LPC2478isformed by the organic combination of various parts. Many tasks include automaticmeasuring, bagging, loading, transfering, vacuum pumping, sealing, data showing,etc, are executing. As a result, the speed of operation of the system is accelerated. Theautomatic continuous running of the integrated sub-packaging and packaging processare realized. The cost of the system is reduced. The realizations mentioned above arethe main innovation of this paper.Finally, the overall experimental platform is put up. After the tests, the weight ofnon-cohesive small granular materials, the temperature of the inner bag and the outerbag and the real-time display of all information are accurately controlled by thiscontrol system. And the inner bag packaging and the outer bag packaging arecompleted.29packets (each packet weighs5g) are packaged in a minute. Thesub-packaging error is less than or equal to0.2g. The packaging speed is greater thanor equal to8.85kg/h. The qualified rate of packaging is greater than or equal to93%.The morphology of the packaged products is consistent. The human-computerinterface of this control system is beautiful, and the performances of the wholecontrol system are good.
